Individual Adult Services

Suzanna offers psychological therapy to individuals over the age of 18 years. She utilises a range of evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, Mindfulness and Emotion Focussed therapy. Suzanna can assist with assessment and treatment of difficulties including:​

  • Depression        

  • Relationship Difficulties

  • Stress Management

  • Grief and Loss

  • Adjustment difficulties

  • Anxiety        

  • Anger management

  • Substance Use/Dependence

  • Personality Difficulties

  • Trauma

Relationship Therapy

Suzanna offers relationship therapy to couples experiencing difficulties. Primarily utilising Emotion-Focussed Therapy, Suzanna works with couples to assist them accept, express, regulate, make sense of, and transform emotion. Often within couples, there is a pattern whereby the content of disagreements may differ but the underlying emotional needs being expressed are the same and until a couple works actively to identify these emotional needs and fulfill them for each other, there is an ongoing disconnection within the partnership dynamic.

 

Suzanna uses similar therapeutic modalities with other forms of relationships including family discord between two or more members. Adult child and parent relationships can often feel strained if unresolved issues are not worked through and Suzanna can assist with this.
